Thank you for coming to read the story. Validation, as I mentioned in the article, is not the panacea for bad web design.

However, leaving off a DOCTYPE on a $250,000 site is just irresponsible. I&#039;m sure the people of Palo Alto didn&#039;t want their money spent on a site that sends every browser into quirks mode with pages that fail to render in most advanced browsers currently available (Firefox).

This is Silicon Valley, right?</description>
